Diagrams

Ask for a diagram (a flow, an org chart, an architecture sketch, a process) and Asteria draws one on a canvas you can edit by hand.

Draw the approval flow for a new supplier, from request to signature, showing who signs off at each stage.

Editing

The canvas is a proper drawing tool. Drag boxes, retype labels, add arrows, change colours, move things until the layout reads the way you want.

Your work saves automatically. The header tells you where you are: Saving, then Saved, or Unsaved changes if something has not landed yet. Discard drops what you have done since the last save.

Asking instead

For structural change, the chat is faster than the mouse:

Add a rejection path from the finance review back to the requester.

Group the legal steps and label the group "Legal review".

Asteria redraws and saves a new version, so the layout you had is still in History.

The division that works: ask for what the diagram should say, drag for how it should look.

Exporting

Three formats:

PNG is an image, and it is what you want for a slide, a document or a message. Everyone can open it.

SVG stays sharp at any size, so use it for anything that will be printed or projected large.

.excalidraw is the editable source. Send it to a colleague who needs to change the diagram rather than just look at it, and they can open it at excalidraw.com.

When it will not save

Occasionally a diagram cannot be saved and you are told why. Usually something on the canvas has ended up in a state the format cannot represent. Undo your last change and try a different way round.

An empty canvas is reported rather than silently saved, so a diagram that failed to generate does not look like one you drew and forgot.
