Usage

Your credits and storage: what you have used this month, and what happens at a limit.

Storage

A summary of what you have used against your allowance, with a breakdown by category:

CategoryWhat it holds
CollectionsDocuments in your collections
Chat attachmentsFiles uploaded to conversations
WorkshopDocuments, decks, workbooks and diagrams
Agent filesFiles pinned to your agents
Profile pictureYour photo
DerivedText and images Asteria extracted or generated from your files

Derived surprises people. Processing a document produces extracted text, page images for vision parsing, and generated thumbnails, and those count. It is why a collection can occupy more than the sum of the files you uploaded.

As you approach the limit

You get a warning as you get close, and at the limit uploads are blocked until you free space or your administrator raises your allowance. Nothing already stored is deleted or lost.

To free space, in rough order of return:

Delete collections you no longer use. Usually the largest, especially with vision parsing.

Delete old conversations with big attachments. The files go with the conversation.

Look at duplicates. A collection tells you when documents share content. The storage is already deduplicated, so this frees less than it looks like it should.

Ask your administrator if you genuinely need more room. They can see usage across the organisation and raise individual allowances.

Credits

If your organisation runs on credits, this panel also shows what you have used this month. It resets at the start of each month.

You will see a limit as well only if your administrator has set one for you. Most people do not have one, and without it there is nothing to be near or over. The figure simply tells you what your own work has cost.

You never see the organisation's balance here. That belongs to whoever can top it up.

If you do have a limit, two messages matter:

Over your limit. You have gone past it, but nothing is blocked. Your administrator can raise it.

At your limit. New requests are paused until next month, unless your administrator raises it.

There is nothing you can do here yourself: the limit is set for you. If you hit it repeatedly, that is a conversation with your administrator about whether the limit matches the job rather than something to work around.

Long conversations, vision parsing and evaluation runs are the usual reasons for an unexpectedly large bill. Evaluations in particular run a model call per check per case, which adds up faster than people expect.
